What is Cloud Save Redirection?
Cloud Save Redirection connects Steam directly to your personal cloud storage. Your game saves, achievements, and playtime automatically sync across your Windows PCs and gaming laptops in real-time.
Saves are automatically uploaded on exit and restored on game launch.
All files live exclusively in your own private cloud or local drives.

Enable Cloud Redirection & Install Sync Engine
Follow these simple steps in the ManifestDeX Desktop App:
- Open M^X Desktop App & go to the Cloud page.
- Toggle "Enable Cloud Save Redirection" to ON.
- Click "Install / Update Sync Engine" to place
cloud_redirect.dllin your Steam directory. - Confirm the status badge reads Active & Ready.
Select & Configure Your Cloud Provider
Choose your preferred cloud backend below for exact configuration steps:
Google Drive connects securely via built-in OAuth 2.0 PKCE authentication. No API keys or developer registrations required.
Step-by-step setup:
- Choose "Google Drive" as provider from the dropdown.
- Click "Sign in with Google Drive".
- Authorize via the browser popup window with your Google account.
- Click "Test Connection" to confirm green active status.
Configure Steam Metadata & Statistics Sync

Keeps unlocked Steam achievements synchronized between all of your computers and devices.

Steam Restart Required
Steam restart required: Always restart Steam after changing providers, credentials, or sync toggles for redirection to take effect.
You can use the "Restart Steam" button located directly at the bottom of the Cloud page in the Desktop app.
