How do I completely remove ManifestDeX changes?

If you want to revert your Steam client to its unmodified state, or uninstall specific games added via ManifestDeX, follow this guide to cleanly remove all custom integration modules.

Option A: Uninstall Specific Games

To remove only a particular game while keeping the ManifestDeX framework intact, simply delete its matching .lua script file from Steam's stplug-in directory.

Script Path:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\config\stplug-in

Option B: Complete Uninstallation (Revert Steam to Clean State)

To cleanly and fully remove all ManifestDeX hooks and modules from your PC:

Navigate to your Steam main folder (usually C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam).
Delete the xinput1_4.dll, dwmapi.dll and manifestdexcore.dll files.
Delete the entire stplug-in folder inside the config sub-directory.
(Optional) Clear manifest cache files in your depotcache folder if you want to reclaim storage.

Restart Steam Client

Completely exit and relaunch Steam. Your Steam client is now fully restored to its standard, unmodified vanilla settings.
